Went on the ARK walk along the Kennet from Elcot lane to Axford on Sunday. What a pleasant afternoon strolling along the usually innaccessable parts of our heritage.  Shame we did'nt see a kingfisher but loads of wildlife to view, with many trout in the river.  Where were you all??. There did'nt seem to be many people about. a worthwhile cause to join if you have a few quid to spare (a tenner). See their website www.riverkennet.org
