Anyone, any ideas ? without incurring huge costs or putting up the council tax.
Volunteers not allowed to put up lights.
chamber of commerce with a little finacial help from the council arrange for the lights to go up...and be taken down.
personally I think it would be great if each shop left on a decorated window display and we got rid of the lights across the high street
We have talked about that idea, but quite a few shops that we asked said no and they prefered the lights acrossed the high street even after trying to bring back the compertition of the best decorated shop window, when only 5 shops entered.
