Do I have food in the house? Yes. Have I bought some presents? Yes. Have I put up some traditional decorations? Yes. Do I know what I'm doing on Christmas Day? Yes.
And all the above make me realise how very lucky I am!
For the first time EVER I went to watch the sun rise and celebrate Winter Solstice in Avebury - it had an indefinable dimension that seemed much more real than the commercially driven pseudo Christmas hype - which I have to say I dislike more with every passing year.
