J.H.Pope, Marlborough

I saw an old Garden Roller at a sale yesterday, the make on the roller was Alexander, but in a roundel on the handle was the name J H Pope Marlborough.
Could it have been made inMarlborough or was J.H.Pope an irnomonger who had his name cast onto the handle?

Popes was an Ironmongers in the town and as far as I know went on to be TH White so it would be a fair bet they supplied it

Thanks very much, of course there were plenty of iron founders who could have made it to sell in Popes. Reeves of Bratton for one.
