What will you vote on May 5th

Just a thought ........what will you vote in the upcoming election Con, Lab, Lib or other be interesting to see if our results are the same come the day.

I would like to see things stay the way they are........my mortgage has another 4 years to run.............so low interest rates, low unemployment and a steadily growing economy really appeals to me at the moment .....so no guesses as who my vote will be for     (Lab).........not that it makes a blind bit of difference around here....Ancram will get in here......but I would be really worried if the Conservatives got in ....going back to boom and bust is something I would like to pass on Thankyou

I personally think that british politicians have lost touch with the people - they promise the impossible before the election and then when elected change their minds.

I'd go for the lib democrats just on the basis that the labs and cons have been in and out for so long and have done anything really well -s o give some one else a chance !!

After being led into a war under false pretences and having Blair & Browns' mishandling of the foot and mouth "crisis" nearly bankrupt my company I don't think I'll be voting labour this time around. The only good thing I could say about Brown is that he is the first Labour Chancellor who hasn't wrecked the economy but how much credit he can take for where we are is an interesting debate. On a more local issue, remember also that it is TwoJags who is responsible for the ever increasing packing density on housing developments - like Chopping Knife Lane. The longer the developers leave it the more they will be able to build irrespective of what the inspector once said.

But who will I vote for? What a choice!! In truth I can no longer say I support any party as each has some good ideas, some bad ideas and some untruths. Yet if I vote for, say the Lib Dems, they actually believe I support all of their policies - which I do not. Oh to have a menu system where we can vote for issues and not parties (a bit like in Switzerland were all major decisions are take by a referendum). Maybe then politicians would be forced to listen to the voters and not their spin doctors.

Does anyone know if the Monster Raving Loony Party is fielding a candidate this year?

In a funny kinda way, since I've lived in Marlborough I haven't cast a "Political" vote, but voted for a man that I think does an excellent job.  Michael Ancram really shows a lot of interest in the area - and he doesn't just stop there but follows it up with action.  Now, I would vote for him, even if he was Monster Raving Looney party. I can't tick a box because I'm not voting Conservative, I'm just voting for the man.
