With all the recent posts concerning High Street Shops, I am sure you will be saddened to hear that one the few remaining family businesses, Duck's Toy Shop, will be closing in the coming months after serving the town since 1926.  It is not being sold as a going-concern and within time 114, High Street will be home to another retailer.

All those who grew up in the town will undoubtedly have fond memories of the shop - for me it was where I bought my first bicycle.
