Is it worth having the forum on here?


This is the second time of putting one on the site but as it doesn't get used except for the occasional flurry if I stir it and post something a bit controversial.


 


So votes please (this could be interesting if no one is on here)

For what it is worth, methinks one of the problems is that as yet we have not reached the 'critical mass' stage that any forum needs to become a success.


Please keep it going, and lets hope that gradually word travels far and wide enough for others to join in.


As it stands, sadly there tends to be the views of just a very few, which will never be enough to achieve the regular contributions required to ensure increasing numbers join in.


So go spread the word and make 2006 the year of thoughts, debate and controversy!

Yes, the Forum is worth keeping. Although I don't know whether there is an additional cost involved in keeping it within the web site.


The Forum is the place I look at first before any other part of the site.


I assume more people, both local and from away access this site than have voted for or are users of the Forum, So could the Forum have a more prominent position within the web site thus advertising the fact that there is a discussion point for Marlborough, (the only one? apart from official channels).

I'll try putting a bigger link on the first page and see if that works.......tried to advertise the site a bit but the paper wont help (they have their own website) and putting it up on the notice board at Somerfield.......but apart from that I'm not sure what else to do........the forum costs nothing more to run than what I pay for hosting.

Got it down to £60 every two years now so not too bad.....but it is a very reputable company and I know 100% that my domain names are safe and can be moved to other hosting services for free i.e. no nasty surprises
