Yeah - great new info point - could easily replace a person. It hides info useful to tourists - like accommodation, the map of Marlborough is wrong, there are no events listed and it keeps telling people to go home and have a quiet night in - even when there was a circus in town!! It's fine if you want to email a councillor - but guess what - councillors mostly don't know how to collect their emails!! I love it! When you tell the pod that you are not satisfied with the service it seems to be rigged to tell you that 82% of people ARE satisfied - however many times you tell it otherwise it doesn't change - oh - and if you are sending an email to someone, they will get it eventually but it seems to take some days - quicker by snail mail. Rock on little info pod - you prove how useless e-info really can be! The kids will like the games though..........
Well the info point seemed fine when i used it, the map was clear enough, and printed me a nice copy. I sent an E-mail to myself and it was there when I Arrived home I also sent an e-card to a friend working in Sudan plus a video message to him as well, he was pleased to see a picture of this green and pleasant land after being surrounded by sand all the time but not too pleased to recieve a video of my ugly mug that kept his lap top clogged for half the day as it down loaded (no broadband in sudan). I saw in the gazette our intrepid local hack mr. curtan moaning about said info point. saying that it didnt show his office of work, does he think he is so important then, he only writes for the local rag its not like he has a proper job.
Seen it but haven't tried it yet........my daughter says it works fine ...sent e-mail, and picture email to friends, it must be blending in though as I don't even notice it anymore.............. it's just become another piece of street furniture
