how can we be sure that you are who you say you are maverick - we an all come on claiming this!

I for example in my time have been Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost and old Uncle Tom Cobbly and all!

in reality you cannot just come on here and say you are a councillor without proof, you have raised suspicions already by doing that and it's not for my money a good way to start!

Oh now come on!!

Do you really think that anyone would come on here and admit to being a Town Councillor in Marlborough if they weren't??!!

If you need further proof please turn up to any Town Council meeting and speak to me - at least then we will have one more than the usual 6 or 7 members of the public in attendance!

I guess the other proof would be if one of the other members of this forum who contacted me about it was prepared to confirm matters!

no hard feelings maverick - I already like the "cut of ya jib" - but just checking to be sure - politics can be a messy business - will anyone locals confirm this maverick is a bone fide maverick and councillor ta boot - and then we have direct line to the council !!

Just to confirm that this person (maverick) is who he says he is ....a councillor ..talked to his wife today on the phone.... so no problem ......fire away ..but give the poor bloke a chance to answer

good on ya maverick - let's keep the home fires burning and keep those green and pleasant fields that once we were so proud of- we've lost the plot and must get it back!

Sadly most of the plots left seem to get earmarked for building on but never with enough parking spaces and never at affordable local prices!

But thanks for the kind words and wishes ..... all we need now is for enough people to come along to Town Council meetings to show that there are still people living in the town who care about what happens and want to see more done.

Well done Maverick!! You finally made it into the real world of the non councillors - tee hee - you have to expect a bit of teasing around here. For everyone else - I can tell you that Maverick is a councillor - he is honest and most of his fellow members think he is a pain in the proverbial which I personally think is exactly what we need at the moment!

Keep up the good work my friend - I'm off to start a new subject - guess what - you got it - Residents' Parking!!
