Happy New Year

I HATE New Year Parties so I stay at home and in order to finish the year without too many problems, I file away all that paperwork that has been hanging around for weeks! No months I mean! It feels really good.

I sometimes write a few New Year Resolutions, only achievable ones and have something a bit special to eat, a few drinks in front of the fire, watch a bit of TV or phone people that I meant to phone at least 3 weeks ago, listen to some music maybe then go to bed. Boring? Well yes it probably is but I prefer boring to forced "happy talk".  I'm happy anyway, I don't have to be with loads of people making smart small talk in order to feel happy!

I hope everyone who reads this enjoys seeing in the New Year and has a very happy, healthy and peaceful year in 2005.  After the tsunami disaster I think we are all counting our blessings. The response from the British public to this has been incredible hasn't it?  It restores your faith in human nature and makes me just want to hang on to that feeling of caring for others, showing kindness or as my friend Jem says "Spread the love".

Hi Angel

You are not alone, we will spend the evening watching the telly and will probably be in bed early, but I can't even drink! the medication I am on at the moment won't let me. but I would like to wish a Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone may 2005 bring you all you hope for, but please don't forget those who where caught up in the tsunami disaster.... every little helps soooo if everyone in Marlborough gave £1 that would be £12,000 going to help and to be honest we could all afford to give £1 but there is nothing stopping you giving more

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE IN MARLBOROUGH FROM CANADA.

We spent it quietly at home as did a lot of people we know. I think the recent disaster made people stop and think and when you see the devastation in those countries, it really makes you thankful for all we have and if everyone could give a little it would go a long way over there to help those people left to try to start a new life. It will be very hard for the majority of the people, but hopefully with aid and help from all countries around the world, things will start to recuperate. It will be a long hard process.

Pat
